Well June and I went to observe the infamous Colorado University 4:20 celebration. It was pretty amazing to see 3,000 college kids crammed onto a soccer field with a haze of smoke billowing from them. I couldn't find a decent vantage point from which to get a clear shot of the whole group, but you get the idea. There seems to be a very different attitude about marijuana here. There were cops stationed all around the field, but since it's legal to possess small amounts, (I think under an ounce) they were just there to make sure things didn't get out of hand and turn into some sort of riot. June and I arrived just as the countdown to 4:20 PM began. Like some day-time new year's party, everyone joined in the countdown and lit up at the same time. 15 min. later, everyone had finished their joints and just sort of wandered away. I've never experienced anything quite like it.
